Pre-Law Bootcamp
Thinking about a career in law? Whether you want to become a lawyer, author, judge, professor, activist, or perhaps be at the forefront of the future, crafting policies to guide AI use or shaping legal frameworks for the digital age - law school training will serve you well. Our one-week course of study will give students the opportunity to explore a career in law, with an overview of what it takes to study law, a foundational understanding of substantive law within the Caribbean context, career pathways available with legal training and firsthand experience of a least one legal proceeding.
Ideal for:
 High School Students going into grades 9, 10, or 11 (4th, 5th or Lower 6th Form)
 High School Students interested in a career in law
You'll Leave With:
 An overview of careers in law and pathways for study and practice locally, regionally and globally, 
 A solid introduction to the study of law, experience with legal topics and precedent cases 
 Sharpened critical thinking skills, thanks to real-world legal simulations and actual case studies
 Real-world knowledge to guide your future university applications and career path

Application Requirements
To apply you must currently be in:
3rd, 4th, or 5th form (Caribbean)
8, 9 or 10 (US)
 
You must submit the online application, a 250 - 500 word essay OR 3-5 minute video, and an Official High School Transcript.
 
Essay / Video Topic: Please describe your interest in the AIM CareerMap Pre-Law Bootcamp. Please be as detailed as possible, indicating why you'd like to spend a week during summer delving into life as a law student and attorney and how this course will contribute to your personal goals.
 
Please submit EITHER an essay or a video, not both.
A one (1) week bootcamp designed to give you the knowledge, and tools you need to get clarity on your future career path!
